Healing

It’s caught in the grip,

Deep inside,

Holding on,

lest I rip.

A tare in the soul,

reaps a staggering cold.

Searching to find,

a thread or a twine,

that dare seeks to mend.

Its needle as my friend.

Although the pain is excruciating,

I know my soul is waiting,

to be freed from the grip,

that caused the rip.

A tare in the soul,

reaps a staggering cold.

Yet do I dare to mend,

with the needle as my friend,

to bare the pain of healing,

from a wound that was stealing.

Deep inside,

My soul is revealing,

what I am feeling.

That I am healing!

I decided to include this song, Go the Distance, because its a cheer leading song for me. It fits with this poem because I am healing and although at times its painful I “loose hope I can go the distance”.
