Crossroads

Here I stand before the crossroads of life.
My world hangs in balance.
My level headed importance,
the driving force for change.
Not waiting or staying,
but changing times,
have arrived.
I fear no step.
None shall I replace.
Full speed ahead,
toward the chosen pace.
No mistake have I made
my step in place.
To win life’s race.
My eagerness propels me,
further down the road.
All along have I known,
arriving at a crossroad,
that the one identified,
as correct does not deflect the other.
I could be willed a few steps back,
and ponder my circumstance.
But I have not changed my decision.
My life hangs in balance,
as I stand before the crossroads of life.
